Living in the getto, coming up hard core.
watching and waiting for my turn of life.
Daddy said he’s sick and tired of asking for the bones,
scraps off of the plates of white society.
Daddy said he’s working hard for chump change,
and still his kids go to bed hungry.
I promised myself when i grow up things are going to change.

By 13yrs.old ihad a gun, started robbin and stealing,
AHH NOW MY LIFE HAS BEGUN.
Smoking blunts, drinking 40′s with the crew.
Hanging out all nite long, trying to find something to do.
Mommy, Daddy yelling and screaming about the things i
shouldn’t do.

Shit, had to burn somebody today,
asked the mother fucker to up his shit.
Try to dis me in front my man, had that fuckin gun in my hand, all i did was squezze the fuckin trigger.
As we watch him fall to the ground,snatched his shit and ran, was a joke to me and my man.
The look on his face when he fell to the ground,
inside i was scare,SHIT!, i couldn’t belive i just shot a man.
Someone’s Dad or son lay on that ground in a pool of blood.

My boy called me the man,just cause i had that gun in my hand,just cause i shot that man.
i tryed to justified by saying he was a white man,
Yeha that sounded right that ease my mind,
just one less white man laid on the ground.

Guess i did all right 150.00 in my hands,gonna get fucked up tonite blunts and 40′s.
Someones yelling frezze or i’ll blow your fucking head off,
bright lights shinig in my face,they shove my face hard into the round.
read me my rights, hand cuff me real tight.
Stayed at the 81st alnite found the man died last nite.
judge hit me with a body count,told me life in the joint is what i had.
Now doing time behind the wall, being a young boy back then,
be a man or give up your ass for the rest of your bid.
I decied then either be killed or kill to keep your manhood from getting snatched,
had to cut and stabbed them to keep them off of this young ass,
found me a family who’s got my back.

Mommy cried, my Daddy gave up,who gives a shit anyway,
He told me i was no good and they should lock me up
anyway told me i was an animal that needed a cage.
Now i’m a lifer and jail is my home.
26yrs.old, i grew up strong, prison was my teacher,
and i was taught well,now my life is over.
I’ll never see the streets again, they said i’m an animal
and a danger to society.

I thought my life had just begun that seems like a million years ago.

Just a stupid kid with a gun in my hand.
Just threw my whole life away, not the man.
Just a number is what i am, no face,
No name, just a bunch of fuckin ######’s
to say who and what i am!!

Take me by my word
For it truly makes me marvel
The wonders of this world

To witness the great sceneries
This great globe has to offer
For me there are no boundaries
Just the ground of our dear father

From the shores of St. Ann’s Bay
Not many places I’ve been
But I’m grateful anyway
For the little that I’ve seen

The freezing ice of Canada
Has not been a friendly host
Still I dream of Africa
The land I love the most

Jamaica Land of my birth
I dearly love her so
For all this world is worth
I’d never let her go.

Love so deep you will never understand
To bad things didn’t go as they were planned
I lay at night and think of my life
Wishing I had the chance to make you my wife
You came in and took control
Not only did I fall in love with you, I fell in love with your soul
Loving me daily without any questions
I told you before, girl you’re truly a blessin
You understood all of my ways
You brought joy to all of my days
When I think of what a Black Woman should be
Please believe you’re the first face my mind can see
Unbelievable, the love that you gave
Joined as one riding our love like a wave
Even if you were paralyzed from your feet to your head
I’d carry you every day from the car to your bed
Knew it was special right from the start
Love so deep I’d write my vows to your heart
